Love you Grandma xx

by Jenni Marie   Aug 30, 2014

I wonder sometimes..
what if God doesn't exsist
-where will you go then?

did you just disappear? can you
still hear us? can you hear the stories
that we're all telling? Can you hear
us when we say how much we all love you?

I never got to say how much I love
you or how grateful I am..or how you
inspired me -if I can be half the woman
you were..

-then I know I am
doing something right.

This is an amazing poem, very sad. I really dont think that anything is more powerful that death. Nothing completely win us over like death. IT beats us down helpless..

I love how you opened this poem by wondering what if God did not exist, thought provoking and relatable. Indeed what if he didn't exist ? aint his existence like our last hope to still reach our lost beloved ones ?

I think we do need to believe, it's more than a life matter, it's something we need to go on in life. sometimes.

Your 2nd stanza, more like pleading with pain...why did you suddenly go and where; we always feel the need of assuring those who mean a lot for us that they do mean a lot when they're gone. And we worry if they can still see and hear our longings.

And your following stanza just broke me down really, Ive been there. It;s hard when you lose someone not telling them how much they meant or how proud you are or how inspired you really are by them. But I assure you, they know ..We dont always need to say things. Im sure she knows :)

I loved how you ended it, very touching, and indeed you seem to be on the right path.
I am sorry for your loss; thank you for writing about her. She'd be pleased.

    well done
