I Walk Alone: child of happiness woman of sorrow

by Jenavia L G   Sep 2, 2014

So she walk this road alone
Hoping someone finds her
Heaven won't Shine down its grace
For an angel has lost her place

Hell is a reality now
The flame consumes her mind
The heat ignites in her heart and takes its toll
The burning pain has scorched her soul

She is dying
Dying to survive
Walking this road hurts like brand new shoes
She lives a life she didn't choose

There's no light to guide her
Only darkness on a constant day and night
She is fragile and weak
Away out dare she seek

For a moment she sat her head up as she lay in bed
And turn her head to the right to see a happy little girl in a photo
The little had real smile on her face
Something she thought would never been erased

For the smiles of today
Is the smile of facades
They say I never met anyone happy like you
LOL if only they new

She held the picture of the little girl in her hand and said
"I think I'll pay you a visit today with me will also be friends"
There names were: the mother, broken promises, anxiety, bipolar, depression,
Heartache ,the bullied, the drug addict, innocence stolen and fear
despair, hopeless, the rejected, the misunderstood and constant tears

So we all kept walking until we finally came to a blue house
we didn't see the little girl but we knew where she would be
Playing in the backyard with her pet dogs with so much glee
Lizy, Basco and Toby

She was sitting and talking to them
Telling all her secrets of hopes and dreams
For in them she only trust
So how could we walk up to her and tell her one day you will be us

So we all decided to leave all but one
The mother stayed behind
Holding a baby girl in her arms
You are my rainbow thorough all the storms

As she held the baby her arms she looks at the little girl playing
She also turns her head to look at those that became apart of her
she again looks at her baby and said smiling if only they knew
I had to walk those roads in order to find you.

The little girl playing with her dogs runs up to the mother holding a baby
She asks who is she are you two close
The mother kneels down before the little girl smiles and says with a whisper one day she will be what you love the most.

If you're confused about the little girl I'm talking about in this poem it was the former childhood self of me
the mother holding the baby is me and my daughter

I hope you guys like it I dedicate this poem to my daughter though the storm she has truly been my rainbow

Miah I love you
