Words are My Shadow

by Maple Tree   Sep 2, 2014

I grow a silent thunder
that poet's release
in poetry,
a mystical entity
devouring endless
pages of unwritten poems.

I reserve the right to acknowledge
my thoughts in scattered sentences
and raging realities.

Feeding daily, upon advice, wisdom
and guidance as a writer,
but I float upon my own cloud.

There is a certain chemistry
between words and I.

We have molded in shapes
that other writers
aren't accustomed to reading.

If I were to change how I share
my soul of chambered whispers,
words will refuse to follow
my shadow and they are a part
of me....

There is a bigger meaning behind this write. Words are
indeed one's shadow for it can mask many a feeling and
thoughts, secrets and anger. I really like this write and the ending is sums it all up well...excellent!
