World Domination

by Maple Tree   Sep 15, 2014

Madness-

Children are singing

as shadows dance,

while Serpents

murder

on the

hill.

Harmony is drowning-

the world

falls

to

ignorance.

We

just

want to hear

the

voices

of

angels.

Wow Maple - not only is this poem filled with such a powerful message to the world, and about the world, it is also such an eye catching layout.

In your first stanza, I think you would benefit the poem by putting a coma after
    "shadows dance"

The word madness to open the poem with is very good, very intriguing as to what you are going to say, and then to continue with such powerful images of these innocent children, and yet so much evil around them.

You then go ahead to show how the harmony has escaped the world, and ignorance is taking over. Such poignant words, I think you should make this into a quote actually. It speaks volumes of truths, and I think everyone will agree with it. I think it is even more touching to read this, straight after you have mentioned the innocent children who will be growing up in this world.

The ending of the poem shows such desperation, yet for such a simple thing. Just peace within the world, not much to ask.

    Very beautiful work, well done.
