I'm Not A Christian Anymore

I'm Not A Christian Anymore
By Mark Spencer

I'm Not a Christian anymore
Is what I heard you say before
You told me that you once believed
Yet by this claim I'm not deceived

You may have once acknowledged God
But your commitment was a fraud
You simply took Him for a ride
His principals were not applied

God doesn't leave a heart that's true
If His spirit resides in you
One only turns away his eye
When faith proclaimed was just a lie

So don't tell me what you once were
I don't believe what you infer
I know the truth as does the Lord
And this pretense won't be ignored.

Creating doubt is the intent
In claiming that your faith was spent
And only those who don't believe
Follow the paths deceivers weave

So hold your tongue until it's time
For all to learn which paradigm
Awaits us after our last breath
Will it be life or dreamless death

I've been there once although I'm sure
You think my journey wasn't pure
Just chemicals within the brain
Is how the doubting soul explains

Events they do not understand
Unless experienced first hand
This is what your faith was about
Your mind was always filled with doubt

And if you say that isn't true
The only one you've fooled is you
True faith has never filled your soul
It's always been an empty hole

You have never been a Christian
God was never your life's mission
For faith like yours to simply cease
A wolf need only doff his fleece

Good work Mark, it describes the Wolf and the Tares who Satan planted from the early Church even to today! Especially those who find it a temporary time of joy and happiness by being embraced by the Congregation but they really love their sinful life and leave to return to it.
