Mysterious Request

Silence enfolded my heart
as your mysterious request for forgiveness
raised curiosity within my paranoid mind.

I could hear the silent surprise lie to me
through the imaginary glass
of caged memories.

You begged me to forgive you -
your convincing tears flooding
the key to my heart.

But all I can see through your broken eyes
is the stranger in your sorrowful soul,
trying desperately to regain some control.

But I reject your mysterious request,
for you will never again
be welcome in my life.
