Pain

by Ann   Dec 1, 2014

We all have our own ways, of coping with the pain.
Some live inside a bottle, some smoke away their days.
Some lean onto others, to help them when they fall, some hide every feeling behind a broken wall.
Some just have to shout it out, they need to know that someone cares.
Some like to fake a smile and pretend it isn't there.
Others turn to writing,
To write the words we cannot speak.
Its easier to write it out, then to admit that you are weak.
Others turn to music, when our own words aren't enough.
Living behind headphones, when our own life gets to tough.
The worst of them all, turn to something much more sad.
They carve the pain up on themselves and for a moment, life doesn't seem so bad.
We're all a little different, yet we're all quite the same.
Just trying to find happiness and make it through the pain.

"We're all a little different, yet we're all quite the same."

^ I agree with the above line. Though with this line:

"Just trying to find happiness and make it through the pain."

^ Some may look for peace. Others for other things, but what is true is that we all are trying to make it through the pain.

Nice rhymes. I enjoyed the flow this piece has.
