The New Girl

by Augustus Black   Dec 14, 2014

In my society, you were new
As I examined you first time;
The great crush arose upon me with you.

Your prettiness drove me insane.
Whenever I saw you, merrily
Hopping and dancing in the rain.
I was sinking more deep in love,
But I did not know how to begin!
Glancing your all step and style,
Prayed for you, so you don't slip and fall.

You were becoming essential,
More essential than diamond and gold
I was very ready, your hand to hold.
Loving you, caring you and
Clinging with you only, I wanted to get old.

Visualizing about you everyday
But I was very afraid, that
three great words to say!
I often used to see you in the garden
Walking calmly while feeling the icy wind at night;
Wearing a sparkling and admirable dress
You looked absolutely an elf in my sight.
Always thought how to make you impress!

Now after a lot of tough effort,
I am feeling very high and glad;
For now I'm your first and last lad.
I love you! My girl.

    The third stanza says it all and shows how important this love is for you whilst the last one rejoices in the relationship of this new found love...nice read :)

    I really like this piece of poetry as well! So much emotion, and so much love!

    You were becoming essential,
    More essential than diamond and gold
    I was very ready, your hand to hold.
    Loving you, caring you and
    Clinging with you only, I wanted to get old.

    that would be my favorite part! Again, another great write! good job! 5/5
