A heavy breathing rush of the highway wind
Pushes my body back against the gentleness of natures breeze
As a monstrous roar of a four wheeled demon runs away
Chasing the road of dead ends and lonely dreams

My steps echo loudly off the foreign grounds,
That once was the world itself,
Bouncing against the trees and
playing with the direction I am going

As the growling creature fades into the hungry mouth of silence
Birds sing a song of triumph and joy
Filling my head with a glittering image
Of a once has been beauty

I open the cold box of letters and pick them up one by one
Shuffling them around as if a deck of cards
Searching for my identity but none with such thing

I turn around and look both ways
of the dead end road and walk back
Back into the arms of nature
As the trees reach out their branches
trying to hug me as I pass
back to where I belong; Home

Oh I loved this, it is so different than the other piece, both are good poems, but this just had a different tone and a different style!

I loved that you actually went much more deeper than the title implied, the phrases are outstanding.
