One Hundred Years Before

by Maple Tree   Jan 11, 2015

It wasnt the
summery days,
shedding tears
for a new winters
arrival that left me
speechless-

That day upon the riverside.

It was the revelation
that it was actually possible
for our souls to finally
unite as one.

I knew you had fallen upon
a crisp day in October,
half a year before me.

Eastern winds whispered
your soul every day
of my exsistance,
but I followed paths
designed for me,
rather than the one
calling my name.

It was you who traced
my shadow in the night
under a monthly, full moons
diary confession.

Your patience was greatly
appreciated my Love.

Our spiritual confinement
speaks endlessly of
circled years that
grow within the depths
of our marrow.

I followed a calling
of the goddess moon,
leading me to you-

My Spiritual Companion
of one hundred years
before....
