Reject to Inject

by Kristofer Sadeck   Jan 21, 2015

Get that needle out of your vein,
You don't have to do meth to ease your pain.
You were a woman who made the right choice when to reject,
It's bloodcurdling because now you inject.

Your letting your wounds get infected,
This isn't what neither of us expected.
Don't worry; I'm here to give you strength and affection,
Together, we will heal the spread of this infection.

Give me your hands,
I will walk you through the steps for you to feel grand.
I will guide you to land where,
All of the marks and pain will wash away smoothly like beach sand.

There's nothing to fear,
When you get back, we'll all be celebrating with cheers.
And I'll be joyful in tears.

It's time for me to open up my eyes and ears,
And face reality that you're not here.
I see you lying in an open casket,
Sadly, you won't receive any more of my fun Easter Baskets.
While Surrounded by your sympatric peers,
You were too good to already end up in here.

I can see the morticians getting ready for the next wake,
They are going to put your body back in haste.
Today you found out who the real "Cristy" was.
Yes, she did give you plenty of "hugs and kisses",
But even after all of my warnings,
She finally showed you her true elicits.

I sat, stood and waited place after place with you to get help,
And all of that time you kept saying I was stupider than a whelp.
Least now, I'm not the one looking greener than kelp.
I have no regrets, I helped you in every way I can,
But you decided to stay with that drug addict man.
Beneath your skin, blood and chemicals,
It wasn't hard for me to figure out why you weren't his biggest fan,
Because he's now inserting his "syringes" into another girl name Sam.

Meth is that special drug that destructs your age and mind,
When you suddenly left,
Your closet compartments left me a mighty find.
Thousand dollars or so rolled with rubber bands,
Thanks to you my bank account can now expand.
Never had I thought you would leave me with such a memorable souvenir,
It felt like Christmas, It was the most wonderful time of the year.
Where ever after place you may go,
I suggest you smear off that grin,
Since we all know where you've been.

I said last my prayer and goodbyes while "embalming" tears,
Now it's time for me to go home and get out of here.
I know how lonely you get so I will visit you time to time,
Then soon, you can reunite with your friends,
Since they aren't that far behind.

The problem I see is that I use too many rhyming words. I believe that annoys the reader.
