BEAUTY:

by Scott Cole   Feb 5, 2015

Beauty to the eye
The eye to the beholder,
A mental picture that's stored
In our mind's picture book folder.

So we can check them out
From time and time again,
And remind ourself
Of where our eyes have been.

There's Beauty all around us
That gives our eyes a plus,
For when we see what we like
They focus like they must.

Both pupils zoom right in
For a clear and closer look,
And that negative is stored
In our mind's picture book.

It only takes a split second
For our eyes are like a cup,
And with only a quick glance
That cup is filled right up.

Sorting out all the colors
Is what the eyes do best,
While bringing all to focus
Is the eyeballs biggest test.

Our eyes are really neat
Our eyes are really swell,
For when Beauty walks by
They're the first to run and tell.

They share it with our mind
Then that image moves along,
Into our heart of hearts
Where that memory hangs on.

So they're always on the scene
Seeing what they may,
Passing pics back and forth
Cause they don't have all day.

All of those Earthly blessings
That your eyes may ever see,
Most of it is safely stored
Unless bygones set some free.

So put your eyes to good use
For there's Beauty in all things,
It's all in how you appreciate
What a day in your Life brings.
