Not True Love:

by Scott Cole   Feb 6, 2015

No not the butterflies
that dance from within,
Nor not the goosebumps
that soon will begin.

Surely not the sparkle
that flicker in your eyes,
Never not a dull moment
for time always flies.

No not the smiles
that show up each day,
Nor not the attention
that you start to pay.

Surely not the feelings
that feel so sincere,
Never not a sad tear
will have to appear.

No not the thoughts
that fill up your mind,
Nor not the memories
that pass the time.

Surely not the sleepless nites
that make you grow weak,
Never not the better half
upon which you seek.

No not the happy days
that come into play,
Nor not the giggles
that want fade away.

Surley not the company
for now there is two,
Never not a broken heart
so no need for glue.

No not the anticipation
of what will become,
Nor not the excitement
that brings all the fun.

Surely not the pounding
inside my chest,
Never not a sure thing
cause you treat me the best.

No not the i love you
that ring in your ears,
Nor not time spent
over the years.

Surely not the kisses
that come from the heart,
Never not a selfish moment
cause were never apart.

No not the heartbeats
that pitter and pat,
Nor not the connection
that will always last.

Surely not the stares
that burn holes to the soul,
Never not a soul mate
cause that is the goal.

No none of these things
Will never be True Love,
For all of these things
Are the effects there of.
