"In the depth of his sin she stayed
    sober; anchoring them both, and
    maybe one day"

WOW, such a powerful, open-ended yet secret promise!

The witness to another's inner turmoil - wrapped in guilt. As it eats away at him, how far will she allow herself to be dragged down?

Such self-sacrifice comes with a price, but ultimately there is the hope of catharsis. In this case, the trauma may have been great, but the support is likely to be even greater - hope is the greatest medicine available! Gandhi himself has said there is always a way out of hell. I believe this lady stands on his path out.

Yes, sometimes you do sacrifice it all in the hope of something better. It might weaken you in the process but if there is love there shall be support.

Thank you so much for your comment Larry!

Meme constructed a powerful poem this week which caught my attention with the creative and mysterious title. The narration of the poem itself is pleasant, it holds a good flow, and is also surprisingly suspenseful towards the end. I like how the ending is a cliff-hanging type, where the reader's mind then does not finish with the end of the poem, but instead it starts a whole creative story of its own as it explores a second part of the poem.
