Testing

by Greeter   Feb 17, 2015

A coin a nickel, a penny , a cent,
This is a test,
To see which coin rolls faster than the others,
But I have no coins,
Just an imagination
That runs and slips, and falls,
But it has no legs,
Thus, it can't stand up,
It cannot fall,
It cannot slip,
Nor run

Love the creativity and thought put into this piece! It reminds me of experiments we would do in grade school, usually concerning physics. We would have multiple variables and always try to find numbers for those variables. I like here though, how you admit you don't have those coins but your own imagination. Plus the realization that because it has no legs, it cannot move forward. You may not fall or slip up, but you also won't learn how to get back up. It makes me think that our imagination is what we make of it, we can craft it, but is a part of us. It can mold and inspire us but it is we who choose to respond and make choices, take leaps in our lives.
