Sleeping Beauty

by Jerry Scott   Apr 17, 2015

Awaken tangled in you
Warmly pressed against my chest
Your breath on my neck
I guard your peaceful rest

A triumph in God's design
Such and gorgeous face
Honored to behold
And humbled to embrace

Soft beautifully shaped lips
Delicate snowy and rose skin
Blue sky veiled behind gently closed eyes
You melt me from within

My dearest, truest friend
Sleeps in my arms tonight
Holds the key to my heart
You're my home and my light
