I Love Her So She Can Love Only Herself

by Glenn G   Apr 26, 2015

I loved only her
She loved only herself
She used me time and time again
It was like watching a TV soap opera
Only the channel would not change
A phone call, a whisper from her is all it took
And I came running as though I had won the lottery
But Once I arrived she needed something trivial
Unable to say no, she would take it
Shove me aside and I would hear nothing until another need came along
Used and abused for so many years I am now empty
I feel nothing for life and want nothing from life

Caution must be given before you find your dignity
Being eroded a little more each day like the sands of the beach
You can tell her you love her but she will only love what you can do for her
It brings about a sadness like no other I have known
To love and be used because of that love is worse than never having loved at all
Does she care? No!
