If I were a Sonnet (English Sonnet)

by Maple Tree   May 19, 2015

If I were to be a Sonnet, per say
the moon would guide a path of silver,
oceanic rhythms would softly sway
singing melodies down by the river.

A woman of nature, barefoot dancer
tangled in dew drop tears, calming breezes,
shadowy flower, forest romancer
dancing in darkness, as she so pleases.

A lofty creature, or so it may seem
rebellion scoffs with a wicked tongue,
searching for clover, in a misty dream
nakedly beautiful, forever young.

Adorned in syllables with ink and quill
becoming a poem from midnight's chill.
