Is this what falling feels like?

by Beauty In The Breaking   Jun 12, 2015

The silence of the night surrounds me
after you send that goodnight text
that I love so much to read
and with the silence my mind wanders
down the many paths of you...

I never expected to feel this way,
you took me quite by surprise
as you slipped past all my defenses,
I can't explain what it is you do.

The scent of your skin lingering on mine
always brings a smile to my face
and the memory of the taste of your lips
always drives me a little crazy.

The sparkle in your chocolate eyes
and the way it gives me butterflies,
the way my heart stops beating
then beats double time
every time you gaze into mine.

That bright smile on your lips
every time you look my way
always does funny things to my insides
while lighting up the room,
that smile's my kryptonite.

I love the way you fill me with peace,
you sooth the turmoil in my soul,
when you brush my skin so tenderly
you always put me so at ease.

You have my head spinning so fast
I can hardly catch my breath,
I look at you and lose all thought,
what is this that you're doing to me?

You make me so nervous handsome,
invading my thoughts and heart,
I like my slow, steady control
and you have me spinning wildly.

What spell did you put on me,
you have me thinking thoughts,
feeling such immense emotions,
is this what falling feels like?

When you take my hand
and pull me ever closer to you,
it's like an electric charge
that shoots right through my veins.

The silence of the night surrounds me
after you send that goodnight text
that I love so much to read
and with the silence my mind wanders
down the many paths of you...
