What the memory captured.

by Purvi Gadia   Jun 16, 2015

I look out of the window,
and my eyes are hypnotized seeing the scenic beauty of nature -
the city is covered in a hue palish orange,
which calms the observant eyes and soothes the soul.

It looks like a stage getting ready for the night show,
as the colourful lights (of the city and the sky)
play a silent tune shimmering in the background.

And I, the cameraman,
capture this non replicable drama in my memory,
which will never be staged again.

What is captured in the memory never fades and that beauty seems to last and comes on whenever we admire nature's effortless beauty. Nice work!

I am a photographer and I loved how you captured the emotion and thoughts that go through my head, when I am about to snap a photo of nature.

I agree with everyone here, I love the picture you painted here. :). It seems that nature to you is something so beautiful and welcoming.

I love how you uniquely put the camera as your eyes, I would have never thought of our eyes like that. It is crazy to think about but it works well, because there is so much truth inside that. The imagery you paint here does give the reader something to see and they see it through your eyes and their own eyes 5/5

This is an execellent put together poem!

You have captured so well how to take a simple image, and turn it into a poem. I also like how it litererally was an image (by a photographer) that was captured.

I think your wording was really great, descriptive but yet not overpowering, your adjectives used were very precise and fitting and I love the choice of "soothe the soul" that sounded just as relaxing and beautiful as it was intended to imply.

I also like the truth in this poem about memories and how they are captured someone's through photographs but that moment will never be captured again, I think this is a very poignant point of life and what makes time and memories so precious and priceless.

    I loved this!

    Well done
