The birth of summer

by The Poet Behind The Poems   Jul 6, 2015

Soft hands caress colours of the rainbow,
the earth beneath my toes spurs
a connection with mother nature.
Sun beams glide graciously through august winds,
sausages bathe in the birth of summer.

I agree with everyone here. you did an excellent job in the details about your feelings of summer, and also you did a great job in describing more than one sense, it seems like you used sight and smell to give the reader an idea of what you are seeing within summer. that in itself is a great thing. actually you used feel as well. Connecting senses together is difficult a lot of times because it throws the meaning off the poem, but it doesn't here at all. 5

I enjoyed the imagery in this poem and thought you captured the scene well, and stuck with the challenge limitations too.

    Well done

A beautifully lyrical poem with wonderful imagery. I loved this and it fitted the brief perfectly. Well done. :)
