The Eternal End in Darkness

by Rob   Dec 1, 2015

I died that day...
I gave my life doing what I loved best...

I died in a way not that any one living would notice,
But the life I had died and in so many ways...

Although I still breath and my heart still beats,
The life I once knew, is gone...

For we are born with only one guarantee,
And that is as sure as we were born, we will die...

In between the birth and the death,
Choices are made, decisions set, and results occur...

Destined to take me to the realms of insecurity,
The life that died that day still lives on, waiting...

For that death transformed my spirit and my soul,
To take the form familiar to those on the exterior...

But inside I am broken and in ways you cannot fathom,
My pain so intense that I beg for the end, the darkness...

And it is in the darkness I will finally find peace,
For pain will be gone, Memories will cease, and there will be no more tears...

Simply stated, I died that day,
And now I wait for the eternal end...

As the dead leaf on a tree waits to fall,
And touch the ground in one final journey...

My dreams are gone, my pain oblivious to others,
And all I did, is what I loved to do...

And now it is gone...
