Broken Home

by Dark Winter   Dec 1, 2015

Her child is living in a broken home,
The mother can't look after him; she just sits and moans,
I don't think the poor girl has ever felt so alone.
Had the baby at eighteen years old,
The flat is always freezing cold,
Ceiling is full of mould.
The father is barely ever there,
The TV he just sits and glares,
It's like he really just doesn't care.

She can't look her parents in the eye anymore,
They see her as nothing but a worthless wh0re,
The advice her parents gave her they said she chose to ignore.
Stuck in a meaningless job,
The father always wanting another blow job,
Living off of benefits, the father acting like a slob.
She hates her life and hates herself,
Her boyfriend picked her from off of the rubbish shelf,
She just wishes she was born into a world of wealth.

Trying to raise a baby in a one bedroom flat,
Living on an hourly salary is like always being in combat,
She'd love to get rid of the responsibility of this and that.
Life's unfair; she had potential to go far,
Instead she decided to go and get drunk in a bar,
Have a bit of fun in the backseat of a car.
Not knowing at that specific moment,
Her life has changed forever without her consent,
Living a life of unwanted torment.

Now that poor child will be raised by the streets,
His main priority will always be what to eat,
His childhood life will always be incomplete.
As the child grows up and gets older,
If he wants to survive, he has to adopt the attitude of a soldier
Dodging his abusive half-wit father, taking punches to his shoulder.
His mum so manically depressed in a world of depression,
How much longer this goes on is the question,
Right now his mum is starting to pick up a cocaine obsession.

He comes from a broken home and broken life,
Snatching iPods and Mobiles with a knife.
Jumping the rich kids in the middle of the night.
Tolerates his mum, hates his useless father,
Who he never dared to bother
Would never dream of speaking to the Holy Father.
He doesn't believe God exists, if he did why do this?
He can't remember the last time he received a kiss,
His life as he knows it is taking the total piss!
