Burn All the Bridges that Lead Me to You

by Andrew Packard   Dec 31, 2015

Cover me over with melody
Cover me over with time
Burn all the bridges that led me to you
Paving a road that is mine

Oh gonna let my light shine
Your misery is no more company of mine

Raising my heart as a witness
Rising revolt to your throne
Turns out you're the court jester
Your kingdom has left you alone

Color me over with freedom
Color my soul with delight
Blessed the way that delivered me
From your damning line of sight

No more remorse for my children
No more opinion from you
Truth has a funny way about it
All it can be is true

A wonderfully written piece here with a sound of rejoice in it.
Seems to me you are celebrating because someone has left your life where with them you were (let's say) miserable you can do as you please so to speak because you are what you should be, happy.

    Take care Em
