Crystallized Dream (Collaboration)

by Maple Tree & Mr. Darcy   Jan 4, 2016

She was a midnight catastrophe;
her need to spin upon the pond
was her elixir for releasing the mental
demons from within-

A shadow approaches,
in the darkness of her wintry encore.

His drama exuded electricity;
each stroke of his blades
splintered the ice beneath
as he neared her...

On the air, cascarilla tendrils
Merged within, infusing a
youthful optimism buried
in a place long forgotten.

His body was compelled,
Drawn like a moth to a flame
spinning icicles claimed
the nights sweet percussion.

As they danced together,
pirouetting in their eternal
Embrace, he whispered into
Her soft auburn hair:

"I forbid thee to entrap my mental slumber"

Until death divides, we shall drown upon
our romantic loneliness as one.
