    Hello Darren,

A wonderful poem with vivid descriptions of the desperation for continued life.

Its message is brilliant. We are (in the great scheme of things) insignificant, invisible, a mere food for worms... Still, if we can pass on more than the food from our bones and achieve even a tinge of enduring greatness: our stamp on this world will perhaps be eternal and truly significant, bright as that sun we reach high for!

Well done Darren. A significant piece indeed.

    Take care,

    Michael

A well written thought provoking piece Darren.
I enjoyed reading this, albeit now with thoughts contemplating my eventual demise inside a worm!
    Well penned my friend!

This is becoming a dirty habit mr E, a gnome reading my poetry. You may be mellowing in your senior years.

    Judging comment

I feel that everyone has felt like a dying plant within our lifetime, however the way that Darren so powerfully expressed just blew me away.

The metaphoric tones and heartfelt feelings are meshed very well within this piece. I was clearly blown away, excellent write by Darren!
