Day ago tomorrow

by Michael D Nalley   Feb 20, 2016

It was a day ago tomorrow
that she told me about her sorrow
she told me with wrath I should not fear
but I was just too prideful to hear
lost in the best place at the wrong time
or found in the worst with the right rhyme
She told me my folks followed Babylon
and that Robert Zimmerman could ramble on
Anyone who accepted the wrong potion
may as well give up their godly devotion
because they'll never be born again and saved
after indulging in passion that's depraved
A day ago tomorrow she left and came back
I hope she does not think my song is an attack
