Consequences of Not Being his Blood-Child

by Someone Invisible   Mar 2, 2016

I've been through the bad lands
I'm now afraid of man's hands.
I've had many a rough night
So I try to keep men in my sight,
Because I did as I was told

Wow! Very powerful and unfortunate you had to endure this man. I hope you haven't allowed him to continue shaping your life, I'm glad you got out. Stay strong!

Wow very powerful stuff. Shame that this really happens. I hope that if this happened to you that it is over now and you are ok. Xx

    Hello

The title struck me as soon as I read it; we often hear stories about stepfathers and abuse they can deal out to their stepchildren (not always, I should point out).
People who treat others this way don't need a reason to do it - they just thrive off causing others misery.
This is a well written piece with some good rhyming throughout and an important theme.
Take care and all the best,
    Ben

Thank you :) I kinda wanted to keep it from being too childhood related so that it fits the mold of abusive relationships but for me it's about my childhood and I still wanted to make that clear so thats why I title it like that...
