    Hello Jay,

"Star struck" quite literally, by the sound of it. And why shouldn't you be when all of us are simply stardust!

A lovely write and I appreciate your use of internal rhyme.

    All the very best,
    Ben

This was amazing, I absolutely love stargazing, the sky is so big and vast and wondrous. It's lovely how you captured this moment - it's wonderful to stop and truly take in this beautiful world we live in, we can really appreciate it then. Beautiful poem. ^__^

      HI Ailissa,
      Thank you for your comment.

Indeed it is a pleasure to lie and stare at the stars. Its mesmerizing. I am yet to go watch a meteor shower... i have heard so much about it from friends. It must be divine.

      Take care.

I like the moments you have described here and the feeling it brings out is simply joyful...joy with tears. Its mother nature's beauty which makes us feel so emotional and at the same time love her for her creations. A nice read for the evening :)

This is truly wonderful. Stargazing is a truly magical thing especially when done with someone special. My bedroom is in the loft so I can stargaze each night.

I saw my first meteor shower last year on holiday and it was awesome.

    You descriptive are truly genious.

    Hello Jay,

sorry its taken so long for me to comment.

I love this piece and I will tell you why...

Ever since I was small i have wondered up at the nights sky. When I was in my early teens, my friends and I would go to the play park and sit on the swings and look up. We would talk about the speed of light and try and imagine what it would be like if we could go faster than light and reach a far off world; only to then gaze back with super telescopes back at a prehistoric planet Earth.

I love the stars and the way they make us feel so small; putting us in our place in the solar system, galaxy and wider universe.

I like the honest description of gushing emotion to majesty that is the night sky.

    A lovely (revised) write.

    Take care,

    Michael

Aww Michael, that is so sweet, I can just imagine you as a little boy among your friends discussing time travel and light speed :) I am sure you must have come out with some supper genius idea about transporting your self into space.....

The beauty of the night sky is... that it lets you spread your imagination and makes you believe in the possibilities of miracles.

Thank you for sharing your views. Take care

      Jay
