People always hate or fear what they don't understand or have no knowledge of, I enjoyed this thoroughly, but wish it could have been longer and entailed more, because the world needs more......

I love that last line, and this makes my heart soften. Your compassion in each line shows and makes me want to challenge myself to be less judgmental, and more understanding. There's a whole culture and beauty behind what we don't even know or care to take a second glance at.

Congrats on the win! Glad to have you here on PnQ & can't wait to read more of your work :)

I find this write very honest and your words are felt with each line. I agree with Bob-people fear what they don't understand and if they don't know what the culture is about. Beauty is within and never judge by what one sees.

    Congratulations on the Win!! :)

Welcome to the site too :)

This is an open and honest write. We shouldn't judge what we don't know about but we unfortunately as a society do.

    Lovely write.

A delicate and unique poem by new member Kireasha this week.

A beautiful and insightful dedication ... I feel had such a deep double meaning. I can see and feel survival within each line. Strength and yet sorrow... but opening doors to beauty.

Her ending lines truly dazzled me... just a lovely poem by this lady!
