The Bottom of my Glass

by AngelaLuisaCory   Mar 20, 2016

There's a little bit of Heaven
At the bottom of my glass.
I can see it very clearly now,
Possibilities are vast!
If I tip it up so gently
I can see the glinting light
It's shining through the darkness
And cutting through the night.
Through the rim of sad delusion
And the cut of crystal pain,
I'm filling up another glass
for me to taste again.
For there's a little bit of Heaven
At the bottom of my glass,
And I know this false fake feeling
Was never going to last.

Love the Rhymes and the portrayal of someone seeking heaven in a glass of wine. Especially like the lines Through the rim of sad delusion and the cut of crystal pain
