Wish

by NateCanpbell   Apr 6, 2016

Sometimes I wish we never,
Met or found each other,
But then we may have never,
Been a father or a mother.

Sometimes I wish we never,
Became husband and wife.
But then We have may never,
Had this painful and joyous life.

All the time I wish I never,
Caused you so much pain.
All the time I wish I could,
Start over all again.

All the time I wish I never,
Took for granted all I had.
All the time I wish I could,
Go back and be a better dad.

But wishing does not matter,
When it comes to the heart.
No matter what you truly wish,
The pain, it will not part.

So I am truly thankful,
For all The joy we had.
And I am thankful for,
With you becoming a dad.

I'll cherish all the joy,
That we have ever had.
The kids, the memories,
Of when the times weren't bad.

So no matter what,
This life may bring.
Your memories, to my face,
A smile will truly bring.

We all have those regrets and memories that make us feel bad but becoming parents are the good days and we Can never be perfect as nobody is but we Can learn from the mistakes we make and live by them as parents and as humans to.

Anyway to the poem your rhyming and vocab make the piece flow smooth throughout.

    Take care, Em
