My plea to the monster in my head

by Em   Apr 23, 2016

Monster, monster in my head
please don't tell them what I said.
I pray to be good, if you set me free,
I beg you, have mercy on me.

Go away, don't whisper a word,
they'll think I've turned more absurd.
What I say is a secret, one I want you to keep,
stop doing the things you do, you creep.

Monster, monster in my head
don't tell them but my heart, its dead.
I want you to stop, break the ties,
I'm begging you, hear my cries.

Stop these thoughts, it's driving me insane,
as I know once more I'll be in your reign

Em, another amazing write. I totally understand those voices, they can be so destructive, stay strong, after awhile they will just be some white noise-take care-Brenda

These monsters in your head is a sad thing and it often comes with voices that ignore the plea to stop. They don't or won't hear our cry. Can relate. Thanks for sharing. Take care
