Tormented castaway

by Em   May 12, 2016

If you could step inside my warped mind
don't be afraid of what you find.
A tormented soul just about alive
but still living on, hoping to thrive.

If you find her heart, don't worry if it's ice cold
that's just all the secrets she never once told.
Everyday of childhood, she wished would be her last
now she's trying to move on, leaving the past.

Many friends have fallen, a child she couldn't meet
so if you want to hurt then please do, take a seat.
Walking this life alone now, is probably a must
because how can a broken person ever begin to trust?

It's not the fact I'm lonely nor sick everyday,
it's the fact that people left me like a castaway.

Hello Em, everybody deserves to be loved and without love what is there left. Being alone is one thing but lonely is something far different. Nobody is perfect we all have made some mistakes but I am a firm believer that God will bring blessings along your way and he has a plan for each and one of us. Take care and all the best (hugs).

Em, such a beautiful sad write-I know you were being true to yourself when you wrote this. You are not undeserving of love, we all have had stuff we've done in our past or had done to us to make us feel less than worthy. You are special by just being you-I try not to get too religious but God has a plan for all of us even if we feel undeserving to even breath the air of the person next to us. Hugs and prayers-Brenda

    Hello Em,

such a sad poem about feeling lonely, about feeling undeserving of love. Everyone deserves love - everyone!

A well thought out rhyming poem - feeling like a castaway in a country full of people. Its true loneliness can be so powerful that in a room full of people one can feel alone!

Well done Em and take care,
