Dance of Fear

by Shelley Williams   Jun 27, 2016

Spiders crawl fast, stay put while in rest,
the stress is contagious when faced with a pest,
a screamer will scream and run from the room,
as if a large spider is a sign of impending doom.

The shadows may dance, eyes see the worst
when a little black spider gets to the door first,
oh the brave can be brave and settle the score
when a courageous foot comes down on the floor.

Squish, crackle, ugh! breathe, cough and a gag
the guts of that spider scraped from floor to bag,
When the scarer that scare is smaller than you,
the rescue comes quick in the form of a shoe.
