Upside Down Silence

by Shelley Williams   Jun 28, 2016

If you choose to hide, keep a mind of the past,
live like a child, while your body grows fast.
Shake a head "No!" or nod a head "Yes!"
A limited vocabulary and a very good guess.

You may feel upside down with a what? or a where?
a no doer does nothing and a no sayer will stare.
The message will creep, when in silence it's heard
you will think that it came from an odd looking bird.

The daydreamer dream of how it should be,
quiet in appearance, a sight that no seer can see.
Two times the worry, uphill most the way,
refreshed by the words that a stand-in will say.

(Tried to write in the style of Dr Seuss)

I like this a lot-very unique and I think the Dr. Suess vibe is spot on. Well done-
