I Wouldn't Stop Even If I Knew How

When I walked into the room I saw her from a distance. She seemed too beautiful to be real and yet she spoke to me. I was awestruck, shy and speechless. She had beautiful blonde hair that was full of body like the open petals of a Rose.

She was the center of everybody's attention. To get very close I would have had to fight half a dozen men half my age. I watched her, there were moments our eyes met locking for just seconds. Those were the best seconds of my life.

God would bless me by allowing me to get to know her. He would bless me again by allowing us to become friends.

When she laughed it was contagious. When she smiled she lit up the room.

Her eyes were blue/green windows into her soul. I found no smile inside. I heard no laughter. I saw a young girl who had been hurt, who was once innocent and trusted people.

When I look at her now I see a woman who is lovable. A woman I love and wouldn't stop even if I knew how.
