To your Bright Smile

by Domenico Sottile   Aug 30, 2016

I don't remember if it was yesterday
or two thousand years ago
or maybe longer
that I sheltered you from the cold
and held you in my arms
as I do now

I am happy
if I wake up
to your bright smile
it has been ours for centuries
and continues to the infinite
from churches to temples
from seashores to mountains
from cities to deserts

The grain of sand we hold
is the talisman of our faith

A sweet dedication - a talisman of sand, a reminder of unified faith.

    Take care,

    Michael
