I tell you the ice
upon which you glide is thin;
that you don't break through
does not prove it is thicker
you are simply fortunate.

    Excellent metaphor. I know quite a few risk-takers who think they're invincible because nothing bad has happened... yet. Foolish, I say!

    Larry, I feel this is a huge metaphor for somebody really getting on your nerves but maybe I am wrong. Anyway a great tanka.
