My Everything

by Soulful Ensemble   Oct 1, 2016

Where you are is where my world is
Where you lay is where I want to rest
Where you speak is where my ears hear bliss
Where you kiss is where my kiss is best.

What is love, if I don't have you to love so much?
What is light, if I can't see you?
What is a long embrace, without your loving touch?
What is life without you to be my crutch?

What is sand between my toes, without you smiling next to me?
What is a bright sun sinking between hills without you to see it?
What are funny jokes without your laughter?
What are love stories with no happily ever after?

It's just an empty desolation
A painting without any coloration
A loving phrase with no translation
A heart without sensation.

I love you more than words can say
From month to month, and Spring to Spring
I'll love you more in every way
My wife, my life, my everything.
