Misery

by Yakari Gabriel   Oct 6, 2016

You know that a year, can feel like a month when you are only looking one way.
And maybe it is after all true,I was nothing but selfishness on two feet.
The perfect example of what happens to someone who only cares about their dreams and forget the world. This emptiness it eats me up inside.
After you said goodbye I wore black for a week. I let my nails grow.
Subconsciously I was preparing - to not touch you again
The last time I saw you, you were far from being as beautiful as the first one
But I gather that when someone breaks your heart, even their face changes.

God forgives and people grow, but karma does not care how much time has pass.
I stopped writing about you for a long time. The people in my present have no idea about our past. I want to keep it that way. You're a mistake that was not worth the lesson. The misery in my poetry. An object in a store with a "don't touch sign". Which out of curiosity I touched anyways Only to have it cut my hands.
