Nowhere (Not Scared)

by Faithless Watermelon   Oct 7, 2016

Love's a lot of letters
important and unfettered.
I know some things are better.

Life's a dim lit road;
what we think we're owed.
And when I'm alone I hurt

but when I'm with you
I do it, too.

Too many slaves
to wonder's waves.

There's no day
that I've been me -

and there's no wings
on broken things.

I've seen you walking by,
I've not asked why,
I've been too high.

A troubled smirk,
shined through the murk
home to vacancy -

but when you're here
I'll hold you dear

Too little shame
to fight the blame.

There's no other
that I've seen

and there's nowhere
that I'm not scared.
