Maher as always a very powerful, intriguing and personal (I felt) write.
As you know I like taking your pieces bit by bit an analysing them but with this I just can't its too good

    Washed down by the wishes
    of the whisperless dead,
    weighted with worry
    whilst we water and wed.
    ^^
This part stood out for me.

I've really missed reading your poetry...partly due to the fact that you haven't posted in a while and also because I've been overseas for a bit. Anyway...glad to rectify this today :)

As always...you just seem to capture this reader with your wording...it's so very elegant in an olde worlde way..which I love when it's written properly...

of course I have a couple of suggestions *cough*

"Can thou even hear us now?
    Hast thou lost thy direction?

the two 'thou's ' are on top of each other and I found that distracting somewhat so..maybe try to change one of them?

    plebians..should that be plebeians?

Regardless...this poem reminded me of certain feelings I had when I held a mass in the catholic church when my mum passed away (her wishes which I honoured but did not agree with). It was dark..hard hitting and, as usual...pretty awesome :)

Lol thank you Hellon, I'm glad you enjoyed it and as always, I love your feedback :)

"Can thou even hear us now?
      Hast thee lost thy direction?"

You're right about the two "thous"s. That sound better?

You're also right about plebeians - fixed it :)
