Ben, I would say that the title pulled me in but in all fairness and I reckon you know I was stalking hour profile and saw you had posted something new lol joking aside the title is fabulous and could have so many interpretations' I guess.
The piece itself as so many great visuals within it and flows smoothly. The moon has a lot to answer for giving you false hope of that beauty queen lol when we find something so beautiful and tranquil within our lifetimes though do they ever leave us or can we ever truly leave them, of course not. I was going to separate sections but its too beautiful.

    All the best, Em

    Hello Ben,

This goddess you describe here is a real babe. I'm a sicker for a red head, so this definitely peaked my attention.

Lovely imagery painted with a pallet of words only can command this way.

    Well done,

    Michael

Excellent write sir Ben...nature compared with the beauty of a woman,or a woman relates to the beauty of nature.....whatever it is this is beautiful..

Captured in escape. There is this spirit that allured you, teased, tantalized, but somehow you have managed to escape her clutches. Ah, but you have never been able to purge those images, that smell, the fire; it will burn your soul for eternity.

    Excellent, Ben

    Hi Ben,

I could see this temptress in my mind, you painted her so vividly. Lovely alliteration within the sentences as well, well done you :0)

About the message: we all need to have those unreachable, larger-than-life people in our lives to make us feel life is worth living. Sometimes leaving someone without actually getting to know them is best, as then the dream won't be destroyed. We are all flawed, even the most 'beautiful' creatures on this earth, maybe they are even worse than the 'average' people, because it takes strong shoulders to be above average in beauty, talent, IQ, or whatever it is you can excel in. As I have found out,' succes' corrupts most of the times.

To have such a heroin in your fantasy is nice, though *winks*

    Well done,

    Ingrid

It's like the reader is there in the moment, seeing through the eyes of the poet. Very clear and vivid - not to mention, very intimate.
I liked this a lot. :) Lovely work, Ben ^_^

    Dear Ben,

This temptress that you have built with words seems so true, she gives me the chills. All that external beauty that which drew the poet to her only to entrap him - never to be able to leave.....
I wish the poets true love could thaw her vicious heart, and his touching words would bring warmth into her icy blue eyes.......
I wish you would write about the strength of love which even saved the doomed.

I did Enjoy the poem .

    thanks
    Jay
