Our Love Will Soar In Spring

by Ben Pickard   Nov 7, 2016

We walked amidst the fallen snow,
And left the world behind;
We lay upon the pure white sheet
With hands that were entwined.

Angels drawn with arms and legs -
The kind that children make;
And prints we left upon the snow -
Our love left in our wake.

Silver glitter from the trees,
In crystal dust we danced;
Utopia was given birth -
Our hearts left in a trance.

We speared love to its very core;
Our souls were ever graced.
No piece of passion lost or left -
Nor romance put to waste.

When sunshine came around at last,
Our snow took sorry wing;
But now I know, as our eyes meet,
Our love will soar in spring.
