Luna (song)

by Maher   Nov 21, 2016

Darling Luna, shine as the night drips by -
I'll miss your face at the call of the sun.
The stars shine teardrops over her broken smile;
don't shy away, it's only love.

Has she felt that fall, or is she sharp enough to crawl?
Will she take her time as opposed to rushing in?

There she goes, dreaming away.
The wind breathes gently over her scarlet waves.
Time flows on, is she making her move?
The heavens humble as she heads this way.

A warming smile upon her rose-red lips -
she's looking straight as she tries to hide.
Spring is blooming under her dainty feet;
she calls my name and she starts to cry.

Do I feel the fall, or am I sharp enough to crawl?
Should I take my time, should I go rushing in?

There she goes, dreaming away.
The wind breathes gently over her scarlet waves.
Time flows on and she's making a move.
I'll keep her close 'til after this sunset fades.

    Maher, I must say this was good when you posted the 'unfinished' product to the group page but now you've finished it, it's perfect infact more than perfect.

    1: I must say I had to look up Luna and I came up with a Latin name for the moon or the goddess so I presume this is about the goddess or maybe not who knows lol the imagery here is beautiful of stars shining over her broken smile.. As you have used stars and shine I can only imagine this is about the moon??

    2: This is a short but powerful stanza because we have to go into love with all eyes and ears well, every emotion and sensation really but we should take it slowly as not to fall so easily (especially if we are met with a man/woman in tin foil pretending to be our saviours) though this is easy to say its not so easy to do unfortunately and very often we will fall hard and deeply for someone who turns out to be a bad egg lol I'll stop rambling....

    3: Love the imagery here.. I imagine as she walks your way everyone stops and stares, turning their heads to see if it's actually true, I don't know where that came from just how I imagined it haha.

    A warming smile upon her rose-red lips -
    she's looking straight as she tries to hide.
    Spring is blooming under her dainty feet;
    she calls my name and starts to cry.
    4: Absolutely beautiful, fabulous imagery and description. I like the imagery of spring blooming as she walks along, powerful.

    5&6: I like the repetition here, it seems to go round in a circle but a nice one... Not sure if there's even a thing lol.

    Fabulous as always, not done this in a while haha

      Haha I miss your breaking down of my songs lol! You're right, I was likening her beauty to the moon. Made it a sunset time of day for that reason too - because she'll look even more beautiful with her smile when you have 2 moons out as evening comes :)
