So let me state, this is a great piece.
I see You have it under Life & Society..
But yet I feel a lot of possible religion in this piece.
"But ours is a faith that makes free
Not from sanity, but distress
Heaven's protocol to sound health
The surest path to genuine wealth"
First Stanza: I feel like this stanza is explaining the purpose and reward for the faith it is describing. It is true the Greatest wealth in life if good health, Mental & physical.
"It's the umbrella of mercy
Where forgiveness, we breathe as air
A community of sound minds
Abode of gems, shinning their lights"
Second Stanza: As most religions and believes the core value is Forgiveness. It rejuvenates ones soul, and shines a glorious light onto those often plagued with darkness.
I like the way this was worded.
"We're heaven's gift to planet Earth
God's best-selling asset on ground
The worth of a Christ-like is Life
For same your cash, can never buy"
Third Stanza: We created in the image of Christ, his children. Should live a life in his image.. I read this as a really interesting way to say in a world of consumerism, You can't buy your way into heaven.
"We're one family, bound in love
Basking in euphoria of joy
Patriarchs of faith, by endurance
Peace-patients of the universe"
Four Stanza: All of us one family; Gods children. Should embrace and share acceptance of each other.
"Will you miss me, when it's over?
Does my exit bring tears or joy?
Did I leave you, better or worse?
Can you please now tell, Who am I?"
Final Stanza: Some of life's greatest questions.. Will You be missed, and for what? Did You make a difference?
A the end of this Journey.. Who are You really?
I love that You ended this with questions.
Powerful questions no less... I think each of us have these questions, and in the end are lucky to have even a few answers to them before death...
Sorry for the extremely long comment, I just really wanted to break down and try to understand the piece. I myself am not religious, though I have varying levels in interest in multiply religions and different beliefs.
I think overall this is a wonderful write, and a enjoyable read. 5.
