"Whether soap, sweet perfume or cream
We are simply buying some time
In a while, again we decay
We can only prepare our soul."
Love those last few lines! Especially the 'we can only prepare our soul'. This is so very true! Every day we age...no matter what...and it is not the outside looks that matter the most, but whats on the inside- such as your soul.
This is a wonderful, insightful poem, full of imagery. Well done!

M i am becoming an avid reader of your writing, you always have a very strong voice and I often find myself nodding as i'm reading, another great write from you here with an excellent wordchoice and general flow of the piece.
I actually think I think like a 50-year-old but my, I came upon this poem from someone a year younger talk about decaying into dust. I love how you penned this inspiring write. The message was true to the bones. A great write!
