Chasing Rainbows

by Ray Blue   Dec 3, 2016

Resting my back at the wall
Loosening this necktie as I fall
On my bed as I hear the wind chime
Its already again wintertime

Burning rubber to see your smile
Just driving a hundred miles
Every skyline
You are the only one in this heart of mine

The chill in the air always
Reminds me of the childhood days
For every reason
You are my world in this changing season

Looking through this window
One wish underneath the mistletoe
Every words have gone unspoken
One promise will never be broken

And so wherever I go
I have been chasing rainbows
If the good times will disappear
Count on me that I'll be here, will be here

Touching picket fences for years
My hands will catch your tears
And so anywhere we go
We have been endlessly chasing rainbows

Give you my all,
Chasing rainbows.

Sounds like this distance relationship is waiting, yearning to be joined as one. There are memories and tender wants within each line which makes this read beautifully sad...take care~
