Back From The Beyond

by Ben Pickard   Dec 7, 2016

Ghosts squirm in the darkness -
visionary's from the past who have
found their way out of oblivion
and broken through the ether.

Theirs was a morbid lot:
dark,
dank,
cold...

loneliness

and the stench of their
own rotting bodies.

But I can see the
subtle displacement of
dust in the darkness
and now my deathbed
is not half so destitute.

I, too, am now a visionary.
